sidekick 5

Whether the Sidekick 5 will be labeled the Gekko or Aspen is insignificant to the overall picture of T-mobile’s 16 device Summer spectacular. Today thanks to our friends over at Hiptop.com we bring you some of the most coveted images to hit the Internet for Sidekick Users since the LX launch. The Sidekick 5: Gekko/Aspen is going to be a ground breaking device for Sidekick fans with the addition of a single device feature that has truley been missing since the launch of the first Sidekick on T-mobile’s network so many years ago; VIDEO SUPPORT!. That’s right folks, the Sidekick 5: Gekko/Aspen will have full support for recording videos thanks to a 2.0 megapixel camera. The Sidekick Gekko will also take a page from the Sidekick iD’s book by incorporating interchangeable shells so that you can adjust the color to you liking. To be honest the device looks very similar to the Sidekick iD, but with the newer design of the LX and much improved button placement. Personally we are very happy to see that the Sidekick 5 will support video, but a 2.0 megapixel camera really isn’t doing it for us anymore.  In case you are wondering, 3g support is not looking like it will happen with this generation of the Sidekick lineup.
