The usual suspects have released a bit of information on the upcoming Samsung Omnia-variant for Verizon Wireless. According to BGR, his insiders have already confirmed the device exists thanks to a few hands-on pictures (seen below) and now they have pricing and release date info. The online and telesales launch of the Verizon Samsung Omnia will take place on November 26th, followed by an in-store launch on December 8th. As far as price the Omnia will set you back $249.99 after $70 Mail-In Rebate. So as it stands, on November 26th you will have as many as four choices for full-touchscreen Windows Mobile: Samsung Omnia, HTC Touch and possibly the Touch Pro and Diamond.

Anyone else ready for a 5-megapixel work horse? With the BlackBerry Storm selling out and a hiccup in the OS build, this might be the perfect opportunity for Samsung to make its move into the carrier’s lineup. The Omnia would be the third device offering a 5-megapixel to be sold by a US carrier after the first two devices were released by T-mobile USA (Behold / ZN5). So what’s it going to be friends: Diamond, Pro, Omnia, Touch?
