The most odd of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA series, the Pureness, has just gone through FCC approval process and passed with flying colors.  While the device is listed on Sony Ericsson’s website as “Coming Soon”, we can tell you that a FCC approval usually means a launch date is just around the corner (press release says November 2009).  We can’t tell you much about the device other than the formal name is the X5 and it features UMTS HSDPA band 1 GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz support.  You can also see that this candybar-style phone features a transparent screen which at least has us interested from a technical standpoint.
